This afternoon after I put Benjamin down for a nap, I went down to get comfortable on the living room floor and read my Bible. All the sudden I hear this strange but not loud noise. I listened a little, turned my head around but I didn't see anything. I went back to my reading. Then in a minute, I heard the noise again. This time I decided to get up and check on Benjamin, maybe he got up and got out of his bed. As I got up and looked out the window I saw this creature on our window seal. Some people might call it a harmless lizard 
, but to me it is not just a lizard. It is a reminder that the time is getting closer and closer when we move to the jungle and will have hundreds of these creatures in and around our house. And I don't want to be reminded of that. Not yet at least. 
Ma délután miután Benikét lefektettem aludni egy kicsit, lementem a nappaliba egy kicsit Bibliát olvasni. Hirtelen azonban egy furcsa, nem túl hangos motoszkálásra lettem figyelmes. Hallgattam egy kicsit, forgattam a fejem, de semmit nem láttam. Újra olvasni kezdtem. De aztán egy perc múlva megint hallottam valamit. Ekkor már úgy döntöttem, hogy felmegyek, megnézem Benikét hogy alszik-e még. Ahogy felálltam és kinéztem az ablakon, megláttam ezt a valamit az ablakunkon. Amit mások csak egyszerűen egy kis gyíknak néznének, nekem sokkal többet jelentett. Emlékeztetett, hogy hamarosan a dzsungelben fogunk élni, ahol többszáz ilyen és ehhez hasonló állat fog majd a házunk körül (és netalán a házunkban) élni. És még nem akarok erre gondolni. Még nem.

Agghh....another sad goodbye! A lot of our friends are leaving. For good! We are super bummed to say goodbye to dear people who we grew to love love love.They are going to the ends of the earth as well. We are all on a mission! Some of them are going to Brazil, some of them to Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Costa Rica, Indonesia... just to mention a few.
So we probably won`t see each other on this earth again. But how sweet it is that we can say: "See you in Heaven!" And not as a cliche!!! We really will see each other again in Heaven and we can rekindle our relationships and it will last like FOREVER!!!
We had a fun last potluck today which even the rain couldn`t wash away.

Here is Question #1: What is this ministry you are talking about?
Well... In a well-fare country like the United States it is very easy to take a lot of things for granted. For example opening our Bibles or being able to go to church. In most countries people are being persecuted and killed for their faith in Jesus Christ. In other countries there are still millions and millions of people who have never heard the name of Jesus! Can you imagine that? There are still thousands of language groups with millions of people who had lived so isolated in the jungle for thousands of years that they did not have any Christian influence!
Jöjjön az 1. kérdés: Mi ez a szolgálat, amiről beszéltek?
Hát... egy jóléti államban, mint például az Egyesült Államok, nagyon könnyű egy csomó dolgot készpénznek venni. Például hogy bármikor kinyithatjuk a Bibliánkat és olvashatjuk, vagy hogy gyülekezetbe mehetünk. A legtöbb országban a hivőket üldözik és megölik a hitükért. Más országokban még mindig több millió ember van, akik soha de soha nem hallottak Istenről, és nem hallották Jézus nevét. El tudod ezt képzelni? Még mindig több ezer népcsoport van, akik olyan elszigetelten élnek a dzsungelben több ezer éve, hogy semmilyen keresztyén hatás nem érte őket.
These tribal people live in constant fear of spirits. Their animistic beliefs keep them in bondage. Their whole life is wrapped around pleasing the spirits. They die every day and go to hell. They have no hope unless they hear the gospel and find out that they DO have a chance!!! They can be free!
Ezek a bennszülött, törzsi emberek állandó félelemben élnek a szellemektől. Animista hiedelmeik állandó rettegésben tartják őket. Egész életük arról szól, hogy a démonokat nehogy megharagítsák és átkot hozzanak magukra. (Még több info az animizmusról ITT) Minden egyes nap több ezren halnak meg remény nélkül. Nem tudják, hogy nem kellene kárhozatra jutniuk. Van remény! Szabadok lehetnek az Úr Jézusban. Már nem kell félniük a haláltól és a démonoktól!!
My husband and I are missionaries with New Tribes Mission. In November of 2012 we will move to Indonesia where we will live among a primitive tribal group in order to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them. We will have to build our own house, use solar panels in order to have any electricity, and collect rainwater or water from a local creek or river to have running water. I will have to cook
, clean, and home school my kids all while being part of a team that will create an alphabet for the tribal people, teach them to read and write their own language, translate the Bible, Bible lessons, and other literacy materials in the language. On top of all this it will be 100 degrees
with 99% humidity
and there will be no air conditioning.
The task seems impossible, the road is long and bumpy, but we never forget where our strength comes from every day and who is doing the tremendous changing work in people`s hearts!
A férjem és én misszionáriusok vagyunk az Új Törzsek Misszióval. 2012 novemberében Indonéziába költözünk majd, ahol egy primitív bennszülött törzsben élünk majd évekig azért, hogy az evangéliumot egy nap majd megoszthassuk velük a saját nyelvükön. Nekünk kell majd felépítenünk a saját házunkat, napelemeket felszerelni, hogy legyen áramunk, esővizzel és a folyóból vagy patakból hozott vizzel üzemeltetjük majd a vizvezetéket. Mosok, főzök, takarítok és otthon tanítom a gyermekeinket mialatt a törzsi nyelv ábécéjének magalkotásában, biblia-leckék megírásában segédkezem, valamint a bennszülöttek írás-olvasás tanításában, Biblia fordításban és más írásbeli anyagok fordításában. Tetézd ezt még meg 40 fokos átlaghőmérséklettel és 100 %-os páratartalommal egész évben. És NINCS légkondi!!!
A feladat lehetetlennek tűnik, az út pedig göröngyösnek és hosszúnak, de soha nem felejtjük el honnan jön az erőnk minden nap és ki az aki az emberek szívében a változást kimunkája.

April weather in Missouri: you just never know! One day it is 85F degrees and sunny and windy, next day it is 60F degrees and cloudy..... it literally alternates like that! So we have our winterjackets, flip-flops, rainboots and sunscreen at hand always. Aprilisi idojaras Missouri-ban: sosem lehet tudni! Egyik nap 33 fok van es sut a nap es fuj a szel, masnap 15 fok es esore all.... szo szerint igy valtakozik az ido! Ugyhogy mindig keszenletben tartjuk a telikabatot, papucsot, gumicsizmat es naptejet! Barmi lehet! 
Benjamin is really enjoying living here on campus. There is a big green hill right in front of our house and a big playground. There are lots of kids in the neighborhood and they are always running around and playing. So he has a lot of friends. He is almost 2 and a half now, potty-trained, wears 3T size clothes and size 8 shoes. Benike nagyon szeret itt lakni. Van egy nagy zold domb a hazunk elott es egy nagy jatszoter. Rengeteg gyerek van a szomszedsagban, akik mindig kint jatszanak es szaladgalnak. Igazi gyerek-paradicsom. Sok kis jatszopajtasa van. Mar majdnem 2 es fel eves ugy no mint a gomba. 
Here you can see our new pets, 2 little minnows. Scott and Benjamin caught them in the Lake of the Ozarks. We haven`t named them because we are planning to throw them back in the lake in June. Benjamin loves to watch them and feed them. We originally had 3 of them, but one of them snapped after 2 days and decided to jump. I found him in the morning under the couch dried out. Itt lathatjatok a ket uj kis haziallatunkat, a halakat. Scott es Benike fogta oket az Ozark tobol. nem adtunk nekik nevet, mert juniusban ugyis visszadobjuk oket a toba. Benike nagyon szereti nezni es etetni oket. Eredetileg 3 hal volt, de az egyik nem birta tovabb es 2 nap utan kiugrott. En talaltam meg reggel kiszaradva a fotel alatt. 
A week ago we had the pleasure to have Tom and Kim Dryer visit us here in Missouri. They came all the way from Michigan. We had so much fun, the guys went fishing for fish, we girls went fishing for good deals and the outlet mall. We also visited the Bridal Cave which is a beautiful cave. We were truly blessed by their company all weekend!Egy hettel ezelott abban a szerencseben vagy inkabb aldasban volt reszunk, hogy jo barataink, Tom es Kim meglatogattak minket Michigan-bol. Nagyon jo volt minden egyutt toltott kis ido. A fiuk elmentek pecazni, mi lanyok pedig vasarolni. A Menyasszony Barlangot is megneztuk, ami egy gyonyoru termeszeti kincs. Micsoda hetvege volt!
