It was so refreshing to get out of the "dungeon" {NTM office} and share and pray together outside. 

Thank you Lord for our team, our friends, our families, our children, our calling.

The baptism II A bemerites II

 

Location: Pietracatella. High up in the mountains about an hour drive from Petacciato.

Helyszin: Pietracatella. Fenn a hegyekben kb egy oranyira Petacciato-tol.

 The church rented a local (Catholic) youth building for the occasion. Lots of people were invited, and many came! It was really cool to see some of the nonbelievers show up from town. For example Scott's old landlady or the mayor with his wife. 

That is actually a cool story:

Antonio, our co-worker has been building his relationship with the mayor, who is not a believer. Last year he came to Antonio and asked him if he could PRAY for the town and for the weather. The town didnt have much money and if it snowed they wouldnt have the funds for clearing it up. Antonio told him they would pray. And guess what happened that winter...not a drop of snow fell down in Pietracatella. It snowed a lot everywhere around the town, but not in town!! Amazing!!! What a testimony!!

So it is very special that he showed up for the baptism and even stayed for the whole thing!Praise the Lord!!!

A gyulekezet a helyi katolikus ifjusagi epuletet berelte ki a nagy alkalomra. Sokan eljottek! Jo volt nagyon latni kulonosen a nem-hivoket eljonni. Peldaul Scott hajdani foberloje, vagy a helyi polgarmester a felesegevel. 

Ez egyebkent egy nagyon szuper sztori:

Antonio, a munkatarsunk mar evek ota epiti a baratsagot a polgarmesterrel. Tavaly egyszer a polgarmester felkereste es megkerte hogy imadkozzanak a varosert es a penzugyi helyzeteert. Azert kert imadsagot, hogy ne essen a ho azon a telen, mert nem lenne penz eltakarittatni. Es kepzeld mi tortent: Egy csepp ho sem esett Pietracatellaban azon a telen. A kornyeken mindenhol sok esett, korulottuk, de a varosban nem! Micsoda bizonysag!!! Aldott legyen az Ur!!

Ugyhogy ezert is olyan kulonleges, hogy eljott a bemeritesre, es nem csak udvariassagbol jott el egy par percre, hanem vegig maradt.

After the service there was a reception, food and fellowship.

Az alkalom utan volt rgy kis vendegseg, finom kaja es kozosseg.

Baptism!!! Bemerites!!!

                                       2013 Oktober 6    

Baptisms in the evangelical churches are BIG DEAL here. All the churches in the area are invited. (See the invite above)
Usually a gospel message is given at the ceremony because unsaved family members are present too.
They are renting a Catholic youth center for the baptism.  :)
There is going to be a party afterwards with food, fellowship and celebration. 
This baptism is particularly special to us because the middle daughter of our co-workers, Sofia is getting baptized too. 
It is tomorrow (Sunday) in Pietracatella, an hour drive from us.

A bemerites nagyon kulonleges alkalom itt Olaszorszagban, az evangelikus gyulekezetekben. Az osszes kornyekbeli gyulekezet meg van hivva. (Lasd a meghivot felul) Altalaban az evangelium is elhangzik az alkalmon, mert tobb hitetlen csaladtag is jelen van. 
Ez alkalommal a helyi katolikus ifjusagi kozpontot bereltek ki  :)
A bemerites utan lesz egy parti is, unneples es sok kaja. :)
Munkatarsaink kozepso lanya is a bemeritkezok kozott van, ezert kulonosen nagy lesz az orom. 
A bemerites HOLNAP lesz (vasarnap) Pietracatella-ban. Egyoras autoutra tolunk)

Introducing: Our Language Helper :)

We are grateful for our great language helper who helps us learn Italian. 

We have a team prayer meeting every morning at the NTM Italy office, then the 3 of us come back to our house for our classes. Scott starts then its my turn. We learn separately because we are on different levels. 

Nagyon halasak vagyunk a nyelvi segitonkert, aki olaszul segit nekunk tanulni. 

Minden reggel kozosen imadkozunk az irodaban, utana pedig harman visszajovunk a hazunkhoz. Scott oraja van eloszor, majd az enyem. Azert vagyunk kulon, mert kulonbozo szinteken allunk az olasz nyelvben.
